زَيْتُونَةٍ لَّا شَرْقِيَّةٍ وَلَا غَرْبِيَّةٍ
نُورٌ عَلَىٰ نُورٍ
An olive, neither of the East nor of the West. Light upon light.
The Quran, Surah An-Nur, 24:35
Zaitun means olive. In this verse, Allah gives an example of His light: a lamp lit with the oil of a blessed olive tree. We named our school after this tree.

Step 3
A quick level check
The teacher listens to the student read. This shows where to start.
-
Step 4
A plan made for you
We choose the right course, how fast to go, and the days and time of your classes.
-
Step 5
Live classes
Live on video, in a small group or one to one. The student has the same teacher every time, and the teacher gets to know them well.
-
Step 6
A report every week
Every week, you get a short report. You always know how the learning is going.
-
Step 7
A certificate, and Ijazah
Finish a course and get a certificate. Strong students can go on to earn an Ijazah.
An Ijazah is a teacher's written permission to recite and teach the Quran. It joins you to a chain of teachers that goes back to the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ.
Right now, around the world.
Our students live in many countries. Here is the time right now in twelve of them. On each clock, the gold line shows class times there, and the small sun shows the time now. Find your country.
These numbers are shared by Zaitun Academy. Every class is live and safe.
